Absent minded

23 May

I hate excuses. So i’m not going to bore you with all the ones I have about not posting for 2 months.

But here a little update of what’s been happening:

Bob and I had lots of guests & we did fun things
I’ve been doing contract work with a government department
I went to Sydney for a wedding
I’ve got a new job which starts next week
I bought a mac laptop – still learning
Our bathroom is being renovated – I’m currently on day 10 without a shower.

It’s getting cold here in little old Hobart. The other day I was driving to work and the temp was 1. I’ve seen some amazing fog and cloud and frost and mist and water recently as well as some magnificent sunrises.
Yesterday Bob and I went for a bushwalk in Knocklofty Park and I was wearing thermals, jeans, a singlet, a long sleeve shirt, 2 jackets, hood, boots and gloves. It was 12 degrees.

I’ve been doing some study on dream interpretation and am have been pleasantly surprised at how much info I have found that is based on fact not just airy fairy shit. I’m really loving it and even had my first customer pay me for a dream analysis the other day.

The buy less stuff experiment is officially over but it has made a lasting impact on our buying/cooking habits and our views about packaging. If you’re thinking about doing it for yourself – I would highly recommend it, especially if you have as much crap in the pantry as we do. I’m hoping to make it an annual event at my place.

Here’s a peacock at Cataract Gorge

And here’s
